Eco-linguistics applies the relevant concepts and theories of ecology to the field of language research, which can more clearly show the relationship between language and environment. From the perspective of ecological linguistics, this paper studies the semantic evolution and ecological characteristics of the “X gan” word family. First, it expounds its semantic evolution in different historical periods, then analyzes its ecological characteristics from the perspective of physiological state and survival state. Finally, it makes a detailed analysis of its diversity and dynamic characteristics.
