With the continuous refinement of the international division of labor for global commodities and the deepening of industrial coordination and cooperation among countries, the problem of the rise of domestic value chain has also gradually penetrated into the global production network division of labor. This paper measures the degree of embeddedness in the global value chain division of manufacturing industry in various regions of China through customs data, analyzes the spatial spillover effect of value chain embeddedness on regional technological progress under the pattern of global trade division, and combs the impact mechanism and path between the two.The spatial Dubin model is used to test the significant spatial spillover effect of value chain embedding on regional technological progress. The interaction term of market integration degree indicates that there is a complementary role between market integration and value chain embedding. The policy suggests that local governments should focus on cultivating high-quality industrial chains, strengthening the development of intelligent manufacturing industry, paying equal attention to the transformation and reform of traditional industries and the technological breakthrough of emerging industries,so that the restructuring of global industrial chains can become the driving force for China’s industrial transformation and upgrading, and accelerate the process of domestic industries transferring to high value-added fields.
