概念整合视域下隐喻性成语英译探究——以《甄嬛传》字幕翻译为例

English Translation of Metaphorical Idioms from the Perspective of Conceptual Blending --A Case Study of Subtitle Translation of Empresses in the Palace

隐喻性成语结构紧密,寓意深刻,具有浓厚的中国传统文化色彩。本文基于概念整合理论,从直接映射、译者空间映射和源语空间映射三个角度,探索电视剧《甄嬛传》字幕中隐喻性成语的翻译,提出以概念整合为理论指导开展隐喻性成语的翻译研究,能够再现译者的思维运作和意义构建过程。

Metaphorical idioms feature compact structure and profound meaning,and is rich in Chinese traditional culture.Based on Conceptual Blending Theory,the study explores the translation of metaphorical idioms in the subtitles of Empresses in the Palace,a TV drama,from the perspective of direct mapping,translator-space mapping and source-language-space mapping,and put forward that the study on metaphorical idioms translation guided by conceptual blending theory can reproduce the translator's process of thinking and making sense.
