Study on the Relationship Between Climate Anomalies and Forestry Production in Northern Dynasties:An Investigation on the Qi Min Yao Shu

北朝时期是中国历史上的气候异常期,干旱与寒冷构成此时气候的主要特征,旱灾、霜冻、风灾、雹灾、虫灾等灾害频繁爆发,对于林业生产具有深刻的影响。这一时期,气候灾害直接导致林木大面积死亡和林副产品的减收,与此同时,也间接地推动了林业生产的扩大和林业技术的进步。

In Chinese history,the Northern Dynasties was a period of abnormal climate,when drought and cold constituted the main features of the climate.With the abnormalities of climate,drought,frost,hurricane,hail and plague of insects broke out frequently,all of which had a profound impact on forestry.In this period,abnormal climate directly caused death for large areas of forest and reduction of forestry by-products.However,it also indirectly promoted the expansion of forestry production and the progress of forestry technology.
