康奈尔大学办学理念的渐进:基于1914-1977年的考查

摘要 康奈尔大学作为高等教育系统内的组织之一,其办学理念的变迁过程必然符合高等教育规律,具备渐进性和发展性。1914年至1977年,康奈尔大学多次在困难面前化危机为机遇。适应时政,积极投身于为国家重大战略需求服务,并利用优势学科开展对外援助。通过对博雅教育的坚持以及对人文教育与科学教育的深度融合,重塑了自身教育理念,完善了层次贯通的人才培养体系,并借助对管理理念的调整,弥合了内部不同群体之间的利益裂痕,继而实现了自身办学理念的渐进,为今后的高质量发展打下了坚实的基础。 As one of the organizations in the higher education system,the change process of Cornell University′s school-running concept must conform to the law of higher education,and has the gradual and developmental nature.From 1914 to 1977,Cornell University turned crisis into opportunity many times in the face of difficulties,adapted to current politics,actively engaged in serving the major strategic needs of the country,and made use of its superior disciplines to carry out foreign aid,thus strengthening the voice of the United States in the world.Through the persistence of liberal education and the deep integration of humanities education and science education,reshaping their own educational ideas.Through further reform,we improved the talent training system at different levels,and with the help of the adjustment of the management concept,we closed the interest cracks between different groups inside,and then realized the gradual development of our own school philosophy,and laid a solid foundation for the future high-quality development.
