The Relationship among Personality Characteristics,Perceived Social Support and Career Exploration in College Students

目的:考察大学生的职业生涯探索水平以及大学生的人格类型、感知社会支持对其职业生涯探索的影响路径。方法:采用大学生职业生涯探索问卷、青少年小五人格问卷和主观感知社会支持问卷对915名大学生的职业生涯探索行为及态度、人格特征和社会支持水平等进行问卷调查。结果:除情绪性人格与大学生职业生涯探索呈显著负相关之外,其他人格特质及感知社会支持均与职业生涯探索各维度呈显著正相关(P<0.01)。感知社会支持在人格与职业生涯探索的关系中起部分中介作用,中介效应占总效应的比例为23.21%和35.29%。结论:人格和感知社会支持是大学生职业生涯探索的重要预测源;提升大学生的社会支持水平可以优化人格特征在其职业生涯探索过程中的壁垒。

Objective:To investigate the career exploration level of college students and the influence path of personality type and perceived social support on career exploration of college students.Methods:The research recruited 915 college students,using the College students career exploration questionnaire,Youth Small-Five Personality Inventory,and Perceived Social Support Questionnaire to explore their career exploration behavior and attitude,personality characteristics and social support level.Results:Except emotional personality and career exploration of college students were significantly negatively correlated,other personality traits and perceived social support were significantly positively correlated with each dimension of career exploration(P<0.01).Perceived social support plays a mediating role in the relationship between personality and career exploration.The proportions of mediating effects in total were 23.21%and 35.29%.Conclusion:Personality and perceived social support are important predictors of college students’career exploration.Improving the level of social support to college students can optimize the barriers of personality characteristics in the process of career exploration.
