This paper explains the rich connotation of “comprehensive ideological and political courses” in the position of “comprehensive”, mainly reflected in the multi-coordinated education subject, the “home-schoolsociety-Internet” combined education field, the perspective of “two overall situations”, and the goal of fostering virtue through education. To make good use of“comprehensive ideological and political courses”, colleges and universities should focus on adhering to the people-oriented teaching concept, improve the richness and pertinence of teaching content, use modern teaching methods, strengthen the construction of teaching staff, and give full play to the synergy of education, so as to realize the high-quality development of ideological and political education in the new era.
