网格与密铺:六边形千鸟格的研发与应用

Grid Design and Tessellation:the Research and Application of Hexagonal Houndstooth Pattern

本文在传统的千鸟格图案的基础上,试图探寻形态创新与应用创新的可能性。本文的研究首先从平面正密铺法则与网格设计理论出发,对传统千鸟格的三维形态与二维形态进行拆解分析;其次对处于正方形网格结构中的图形进行置于正三角形与正六边形网格结构之中的转化,从而得到新图形:六边形千鸟格;最终根据纺织与编织的构造原理,试验六边形千鸟格在不同三维介质中的呈现。本文所提供的方法可为密铺图案的网格设计与有序结构转化提供参考。

This essay explores the innovation of traditional Houndtooth pattern in regard to form and application.The research starts from the theory of tessellation and grid design,disassembles and analyses the threedimensional and two-dimensional forms of the traditional bird lattice.Secondly,the shapes in the square grid structure are transformed into the square triangle and hexagonal grid structure,so as to obtain the new shape:hexagonal Houndstooth.Finally,the hexagonal Houndstooth is weaved in order to discover different appearances in materials and mediums.The approach discussed in this paper can be used as a reference for the design of ordered structure transformation and the innovation of tessellation patterns.
