STEAM education is a comprehensive education model that integrates multi-subject knowledge with inter-subject thinking.It is beneficial to cultivate complete talents that meet the needs of the times when applying this concept to aesthetic education.The research explores inter-subject teaching strategies for aesthetic education in the new era.First,on teaching methods,to cultivate students’core competencies,teachers should concentrate on inter-subject thinking,and train students’comprehension ability.Second,from the standpoint of instructional media and teaching forms,teachers should keep pace with times and new educational technology,try to use multiple media to diversify teaching forms.Third,to cultivate students’cultural confidence on the aspect of extension teaching,teachers should focus on the social function of aesthetic education.In addition,the government and schools also need to pay attention to teacher cultivation,and fully implement the goal of whole-person education of aesthetic education in the new era under the guidance of the STEAM education concept.
