基于医学学术英语语料库的高频医学英语语块研究和应用

Application of high-frequency medical English lexical chunks based on Medical English Academic Corpus

基于医学学术英语语料库,筛选了医学英文学术期刊中由医学英语核心词汇及其搭配词组成的高频医学英语语块,分析了其医学学科特点和文本特征。结合《医学英文文献摘要写作》课程实践,验证了高频医学英语语块在提升医学生学术论文阅读理解能力和写作语言准确性等方面的作用及良好效果,可为医学生和医学工作者写好医学英文论文提供语言帮助,也可为医学院校医学英文论文阅读与写作课程教学提供参考。

Based on Medical Academic English Corpus, this study selected high-frequency medical lexical chunks that are composed of high-frequency medical English terms and their collocations from medical academic English journals, and illustrated their features in medical context. The effect of high-frequency medical English lexical chunks in improving reading comprehension skills and language accuracy was verified through the practice of the course English for Writing Abstract of Medical Research Papers. This study provides linguistic help for medical students and medical professionals to write medical English papers with accurate word choices, and also provides reference for teaching reading and writing of medical English papers in medical universities.
