Sense of Hardships in Traditional Chinese Culture from the Perspective of Exploring The Analects

《论语》中蕴含着浓郁的忧患意识。中国传统文化中的忧患意识本质上是政治意识。有忧患意识才有“远虑”;有忧患意识才有畏惧之心,有畏惧之心才有恭敬之情,有恭敬之情才有洁身廉政;有忧患意识才有道统论述。《论语》中所蕴含的忧患意识表现为生理上养生防控、心理上戒惧恭敬、措施上勤政节用、治理上政治清明。要求君子要有强烈的政治意识,进而修身、齐家、治国、平天下。

There is a strong sense of hardships in The Analects,and the sense of hardships in traditional Chinese culture is political sense in essence.Have sense of hardships and you will have“foresight”and heart of fear,with which you will have emotion of respect,with which you will have self-purity and incorruption.Have sense of hardships and you will make the discussion of the Confucian orthodoxy.The sense of hardships in The Analects is shown in the following aspects:keeping in good health physiologically,overcoming fear and showing respect mentally,being diligent and thrifty in measures,and being bright and clear politically in governance.Gentlemen must have a strong political sense,and then cultivate themselves,harmonize their families,govern the nation well and make the world peaceful.
