外国友人对新四军的支持与帮助考论

On Foreign Friends’Support and Assistance to the New Fourth Army

抗日战争时期新四军发展迅速,但经费非常困难。新四军为解决经费问题,除了通过抗日民主政府筹措、军队自筹和战斗缴获、没收敌人资财等方式外,一个重要的渠道就是在中国共产党的领导和组织下,在发展过程中认真贯彻落实党的抗日民族统一战线思想和国际抗日统一战线思想,从而获得国内外广泛支持与援助。新四军在组建和发展过程中,很重视宣传工作。新四军通过外国友人撰写的报道在国内外树立了坚定抗日的形象。很多外国友人也通过不停地呼吁新四军在发展过程中面临的困难,在国内外帮助新四军筹集了部分经费,获得了一些医疗援助。

During the War of Resistance against Japanese aggression,the New Fourth Army developed rapidly,but was plagued by serious financial difficulties.In order to solve its financial problems,besides the fund-raising efforts of the Anti-Japanese Democratic Regime and the army itself,what’s captured in the battles,and assets confiscated from the enemies,the New Fourth Army resorted to another important fund-raising channel,which was to gain wide support and assistance from home and abroad and conscientiously implement the thought of national and international united fronts against Japanese aggression under the leadership and organization of the Communist Party of China.Ever since its founding,the New Fourth Army had attached great importance to propaganda work,and by virtue of reports written by its foreign friends,the New Fourth Army had established an image of being steadfast in its fight against Japanese aggression.Many of its foreign friends constantly publicized the difficulties faced by the New Fourth Army in its development,helping it raise funds and obtain medical assistance from home and abroad.
