Review of Linguistic Functions and the Critics of Structuralism:Henri Wald’s Marxist Philosophy of Linguistics and Semiotics

罗马尼亚哲学家亨利·瓦尔德,以马克思主义理论为基本立场与方法,对语言哲学及符号学领域进行了一系列深入论述:在关于思维与语言的关系方面,提出了语言在智力与智性中各自的建构作用;在论及书写符号及其人文意义时,探讨了书写符号的语义特征及在现代社会语境中的辩证特性;同时,从马克思主义的人本主义角度对正统结构主义思潮及其符号学方法进行了辩证性反思和运用。由此,瓦尔德对马克思主义关于语言哲学及符号学的诸多论域进行了独到的思考和论述,对马克思主义理论做出了贡献。

Romanian philosopher Henri Wald,taking Marxist theory as the basic position and method,made a series of discussions on the field of philosophy of linguistics and semiotics.In terms of the relationship between thoughts and language,he proposed the respective constructive role of language in intelligence and intellects.When discussing on writing signs and their humanistic significance,he discussed the semantic characteristics of writisigns and their dialectical characteristics in the atmosphere of modern society.At the same time,from the humanistic angles of Marxism,the orthodox structuralism and its semiomethods were dialectically reflected and applied.As a result,Wald made a unique reflection and discussion on Marxist philosophy of linguistics and semiotics,and made a contribution to Marxist theories.
