摘要
Disturbances of Ca^(2+)homeostasis have been reported to be associated with the development of Parkinson's disease(PD)(Fig.1),which is characterized by the selective vulnerability of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta(SNpc).Different from the dopaminergic neurons in the ventral tegmental area(VTA),which mainly rely on hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated/voltagegated channels for pacing and have a strong Ca^(2+)-buffering capacity.
