China-Africa relations go back a long way.Two ancient trade networks were once the main conduits of contact between China and Africa:the continental Eurasian Silk Road and the Maritime Silk Road.The Maritime Silk Road,which stretched from China to East Africa along the northern shore of the Indian Ocean,ran parallel with and was connected to the continental Eurasian Silk Road.
