Being a Poetic Historian:on Xue Yongnian’s Integration of Academic Research and Artistic Creation

“史笔诗心——薛永年学术艺术展”呈现了当代美术史论大家薛永年的成长之路、文化立场、研究方法和丰硕成果,尤其是在学术研究与艺术创作双向并行、同步推进方面,为学界提供了足资参鉴的宝贵经验和有益启思。本文拟围绕此次展览的策划及展出的各类文献、作品,结合薛永年学术思想与贡献,略述其学术研究之“史笔”、艺术创作之“诗心”,并揭橥两者互动融合之关系。

"Poetic Historian at Heart:Xue Yongnian Academic Artworks Exhibition"demonstrates the development path,cultural position,research method and fruitful results of Xue Yongnian,a great historian of contemporary art,who provides valuable experience and inspirations for academia,in particular in promoting both academic research and artistic creation.This paper,based on the curating idea of the exhibition and such exhibits as various books and artworks,as well as Xue’s academic thoughts and contributions,elaborates on his historical perspective of academic research and poetic style in artistic creation,and reveals their interaction and integration.
