翻译研究与认知范式交叉融合的途径

摘要 翻译认知研究最具代表性的是翻译关联论、认知翻译学与体认翻译学形成的三大认知路径,虽然在发展过程中都面临着各自的理论困境,却呈现出一个阐明“关联-认知-体认”连续性论题的独特发展轮廓。这种连续论题为翻译过程提供了一种认知范式解释,本质上是探究翻译的心智过程与运行机制的认知范式。当体认翻译学与“具身认知”发生视域融合时,一种“整体论的体认主义”在翻译学领域里开始显现,并将成为翻译研究“认知范式”发展的最新形态。体认主义立场涵摄了翻译研究的“具身体认”“嵌入体认”“延展体认”与“生成体认”,甚至涉及“文化体认”与“社会体认”,扩展了翻译研究方法的广度与深度,为翻译认知研究带来一种全新的发展。 The most representative of Translation Cognition research can be characteristically integrated into three cognitive approaches:Translation Relevance Theory,Cognitive Translatology and Embodied-Cognitive Translatology.Although these three approaches face their own theoretical dilemma,the continuity thesis of“relevance-cognition-cognitive embodiment”is set forth in a unique evolving outline.The continuity thesis is to provide the explanation of cognitive paradigm for translation process and essentially to probe into the cognitive paradigm of mental process and operative machine in translation.When Embodied-Cognitive Translatology is integrated with“embodied cognition,”a“holistic embodied-cognitivism”comes into being in the field of translatology and becomes the latest developing form of cognitive paradigm of translation studies.The embodied-cognitivism position contains“embodied embodiment-cognition,”“embedded embodiment-cognition,”“extended embodiment-cognition”and“enactive embodiment-cognition”of translation studies,and is even involved with“cultural embodiment-cognition”and“social embodiment-cognition.”In a sense,the embodied-cognitivism extends the scope and depth of the translatological methods and provides a new development for translation cognition research.
