摘要
可视化通过图形、图表生动地描绘数据,帮助广大用户高效地完成数据探索、分析、信息传播等任务。而可视化的设计与构建流程涉及各类应用领域,与艺术设计、计算机科学等学科紧密相关,是典型的交叉学科研究方向。本文结合北京大学可视化暑期学校设计的教学实践,开展多学科交叉和技术融合,阐述可视化设计实践的关键理念和思路。
By harvesting the power of depicting data with vivid charts and the capability of interacting with the data, visualisation becomes one of the most efficient ways for data exploration, analysis, and information dissemination. Visualisation is a typical interdisciplinary research direction. The process of design and implementation of visualisation idioms requires skills from computer science, art design, and domain knowledge of applications areas. Based on the experiences in the visualisation summer school at Peking University, in this essay, the author discusses a few key observations and ideas of promoting multidisciplinary integration in visualisation design practices.
