识解理论视域下宋词翻译的主观性研究——以《雨霖铃》3个英译本为例

Subjectivity in Translation of Song Lyrics from Perspective of Construal Theory:A Case Study on Three English Translations of Yu Lin Ling

识解理论与翻译研究相结合有助于阐释导致宋词译文差异的深层原因。文章基于识解理论的四个维度——辖域和背景、视角、突显、详略度,以《雨霖铃》3个英译本为对象,探究译者主观性如何体现于不同译本中,以及导致译者主观性差异的主要原因。研究发现,在体认经验、原文及目标读者的影响下,译者通过激活特定辖域与背景、选取不同的视角、突显不同的事体及输出具有不同详略度的译文来构建情境。四个维度间具有内在联系,共同作用于多元译本的产出。

The combination of Construal Theory and translation studies will help to explain the deep reasons behind various translations of the same text.Based on the four dimensions of Construal Theory,this study takes three English translations of Yu Lin Ling as the objects,to explore how translators’subjectivity is reflected in different translations and why translation subjectivity exists.It is found that under the influence of their own embodiment with reality and cognitive processing,original content and target readers,translators activate specific domains and backgrounds,select different perspectives,highlight different events and produce translations with various degrees of specificity to construct poetic imagery.There is also a certain internal connection between these four dimensions,which has an integrated effect on the production of diverse translations.
