摘要
由迪士尼影片公司出品的电影《花木兰》于2020年9月在中国隆重上映。该电影改编自在中国家喻户晓的花木兰替父从军的故事,在1998年动画片版本的基础上首次以真人版电影呈现。该剧在上映之前,迪士尼公司对其进行了不遗余力的宣传,全球观众尤其是中国本土观众对其充满了期待。然而,由于故事情节的无端添加、人物形象的不合理设计、美式价值观的强势输出等因素,导致电影《花木兰》在中国市场受到冷遇。作为一次不太成功的电影改编,该电影为中西文化如何实现良性的交流互动提供了可资借鉴的经验教训。
The movie“Mulan”produced by Disney Pictures was released in China in September, 2020.The film is adapted from the story of Hua Mulan,a household word in China, which tells the story of a girl, Mulan joining the army for her father.Based on the cartoon version in 1998,“Mulan” is presented as a live-action film for the first time.Before the show was released, the Disney company spared no effort to promote it, and global audiences, especially Chinese audiences, were full of expectations.However, due to factors such as the unwarranted addition of the storyline, the unreasonable design of the characters, and the strong export of American values, the movie “Mulan” failed at the box office in the Chinese market.As a not-so-successful film adaptation, the film provides lessons for how to achieve benign communication and interaction between Chinese and Western cultures.
