Overturning vertical tank is an important lifting operation under the control of complex dynamic force system,which is difficult to operate and prone to serious accidents.The environment of offshore platform is bad and the working space is limited,so it is more difficult to overturn the vertical tank.In order to avoid the accident of overturning vertical tank on offshore platform,this paper introduces various conventional methods and working points of overturning vertical tank operation,and explains in detail the turning method of single crane on offshore platform and the innovative and upgraded tooling turning method.By comparison,the bright points of the tooling turning method are shown,which provides a reference for similar tank-erecting operations at the later stage of offshore platforms.
