On November 4,2022,German Chancellor Olaf Scholzmade a high-profile visit to China.Meeting with Chi-nese President Xi Jinping and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang,Scholz is the first G7 leader to visit China since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and the first Western leader to visit China afterthe 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC)held in October,during which Xi secured his thirdterm as the Party's general secretary.
