高管职业经历与真实盈余管理的关系研究

Research on the Relationship between Executives’ Professional Experience and Real Earnings Management

近年来,财务舞弊案件屡见不鲜,盈余操纵手段愈发隐蔽,真实盈余管理受到管理层的青睐。选取2017—2021年我国A股上市公司作为样本,探究高级管理人员不同职业经历对盈余管理选择的影响,重点关注和盈余管理相关的财务经历、审计经历、海外经历,分别探究拥有这些经历的管理人员所在企业盈余管理模式。此外从多维度构建高管复合职业经历的度量指标,分析多样化职业经历对真实盈余管理的影响。研究发现,高管的财务经历、审计经历会对真实盈余管理产生正向影响;而海外经历和复合型的职业经历则抑制真实盈余管理的发生。为从管理者角度完善公司治理、提高盈余信息质量提供了启发,为企业复合职业经历高管的选聘提供了新的数据支撑。

In recent years, financial fraud cases are still common, and the means of earnings manipulation are becoming more and more hidden. Real earnings management is favored by the management. China’s A-share listed companies from 2016 to 2020 were selected as samples to explore the impact of different professional managers of relevant seniror managers on earnings management choices, focusing on the professional experience of earnings management, such as financial work experience, audit work experience and overseas experience, and respectively investigating the earnings management mode of the enterprise where the managers with these professional experiences work. In addition, a multi-dimensional index to measure the composite professional experience of senior executives, was constructed, namely, the composite index of senior executives’ professional experience, and the impact of the diversified professional experience of senior executives on real earnings management was examined. The results show that senior executives’ financial work experience and audit work experience have a positive impact on real earnings management, however, overseas experience and compound professional experience significantly inhibit the occurrence of real earnings management. The research results provide inspiration for improving corporate governance and improving the quality of earnings information from the perspective of managers, and provide new data support for the selection and employment of executives with compound professional experience.
