摘要
玛格丽特·尤瑟纳尔《源氏公子最后的爱情》对日本平安朝物语文学的经典作品《源氏物语》进行了续写,对《云隐》卷的“空白”进行了填补。作为西方当代作家对东方古代文学经典的跨时空续写作品,《最后的爱情》具有独特的价值和意义。本文在观照日本中世续作的基础上,探讨东西方续写的本质性不同;从正反两个方向厘清尤瑟纳尔的续写与原著的逻辑线索关系;进而结合爱与死亡的永恒主题分析《最后的爱情》如何对《源氏物语》的续写既入乎其内、又出乎其外,为古代东方文学经典的接受和阐释注入了新的血液。
Marguerite Yourcenar’s Le Dernier Amour de Prince Genji, as a sequel to The Tale of Genji, a classic work of Heian Monogatari, fills the “blank” in the chapter of “Kumogakure.” This paper explores the essential differences between the sequels of the East and the West by referring to the Japanese medieval sequels, clarifies the logical causalities between the sequel and the original in terms of the continued and divergent development of characters and storylines, and analyzes how Le Dernier Amour de Prince Genji digs deep into the essence and observes beyond the boundary of The Tale of Genji through the eternal theme of love and death. As an inter-temporal and spacial sequel by a contemporary Western writer to an ancient oriental literary classic, Le Dernier Amour de Prince Genji has unique significances and values, perfecting the Western reception and interpretation of ancient Oriental literary classics.
