Technocracy中文译名的历史演变、主要局限及应对之策

The Historical Evolution, Main Limitations and Countermeasures of Technocracy Chinese Translation

Technocracy是当代西方政治学、公共管理学、技术哲学等领域的研究热点,但从民国时期被译介到国内至今,国内学界对Technocracy的中文译名一直未达成共识,这极大影响了Technocracy在国内的研究。总的来说,Technocracy的中文译名主要经历了推克诺克拉西、技术统治(论)、专家政治、专家治国(论)、技治主义、技术治理等演变。虽然这些Technocracy主要中文译名具有一定合理性,但也都存在一些局限,如未能完全表达Technocracy的理论内涵、对Technocracy的后缀“cracy”的翻译不符合以“cracy”为后缀的英文词汇的中文翻译标准或习惯等。为应对Technocracy现有主要中文译名存在的局限,将Technocracy翻译为“技术专家制”是一种较为合理的方案。

Technocracy is the research highlights in the fields of contemporary western politics, public management, philosophy of technology and so on. However, since technocracy was translated into China during the period of the Republic of China, the domestic academic circles have not reached a consensus on the Chinese translation of technocracy, which has greatly affected the research of technocracy in China. Since it was translated into China during the period of the Republic of China, the Chinese translation of technocracy has experienced many changes. Although these Chinese translations are reasonable, they also have some limitations, such as failing to fully express the theoretical connotation of technocracy, and failing to accord with the Chinese translation standards or habits of English words with “cracy” as suffix. In order to cope with the limitations of the existing main Chinese translations of technocracy, translating technocracy into “technical expert system” is a more reasonable scheme.
