On Mu Zongsan’s Scientific Philosophy of Neo-Confucianism

摘要 当代新儒学致力于从中国文化的立场反思和融摄科学文化,表现出本土科学哲学的一面。牟宗三是当代新儒学的代表人物,构建了别具特色的新儒学科学哲学。牟宗三的科学哲学以“内圣开出新外王”为自觉的文化使命,以德性与知性的二分为结构特征,以“开出学统”与“摄智归仁”为理路,以“三统并建”为归宿,既回答了科学是什么这一根本问题,更回答了在中国的文化土壤中,过去何以不出现科学之故,以及今后如何转出科学之理路,他还从现代文明的高度,对科学未来的健康发展提供了思路。从中国科学哲学史的视角,重视以牟宗三为代表的当代新儒学这一本土科学哲学流派的贡献,是当前建构中国自主知识体系的题中之义。 Contemporary Neo-Confucianism is committed to reflecting and assimilating scientific culture from the standpoint of Chinese culture, showing the side of local Philosophy of Science. Mou Zongsan is a representative figure of contemporary neo-Confucianism, who has constructed the scientific philosophy of Neo-Confucianism with its own characteristics. Mou zongsan’s Philosophy of Science takes “the inner sageliness opens new outer kingliness” as the conscious cultural mission, characterized by the duality of virtue and intellectuality, with “open the system of learning” and “take wisdom to return to benevolence” for the road, and the “three unified construction” as the destination. It not only answers the fundamental question of what science is, but also answers the question of why science did not appear in China’s cultural soil in the past and how to appear in the future. It also provides ideas for the healthy development of science in the future from the height of modern civilization. From the perspective of the history of Chinese philosophy of science, it is important to pay attention to the contribution of the contemporary Neo-Confucianism represented by Mou Zongsan, a local school of philosophy of science, in the current construction of China’s independent knowledge system.
