Marxism and Folklore Studies from the Perspective of Methodology

民俗研究既要坚持正确的世界观,也要运用科学的方法。就方法论而言,马克思主义作为一种哲学观点的代表,既具有哲学的概观性质,又兼有对事物进行分析的技术性质。在认识民俗性质、把握民俗发展规律、指导民俗研究的一般方法三个方面,马克思主义是进行民俗研究必须始终坚持的总体方法。新时代要坚持强化马克思主义指导的方法论意识,以科学思维方法开展民俗研究。

Folk custom research should not only adhere to the correct world outlook, but also use scientific methods. As far as methodology is concerned, Marxism, as the representative of a philosophical point of view, has both the general nature of philosophy and the technical nature of analyzing things. In following three aspects of understanding the nature of folklore, grasping the law of folklore development, and guiding the general method of folklore research, Marxism is the general method that must always be insisted on in folk custom research. In the new era, we should adhere to strengthening the methodological awareness under the guidance of Marxism and carry out folk custom research with scientific thinking methods.
