Rice sculpture is an auspicious and festive article used in folk customs in Jiangnan area,which is similar to the dough sculpture in the north.The origin of Ruian rice sculpture and its fi gure making process provide us with information that rice sculpture is listed as intangible cultural heritage,and provide new ideas for its inheritance and innovation.
