On the Rise and Fall of Islamic Socialism in Libya

1969年利比亚“九月革命”后,卡扎菲带领利比亚实现了从君主制向共和制国家的转变。卡扎菲的伊斯兰社会主义理论经历了从最初的模仿纳赛尔的阿拉伯社会主义、坚持伊斯兰社会主义、创立世界第三理论到宣布进入民众时代的变化。随着国际和国内形势的变化,卡扎菲以伊斯兰社会主义思想为指导,对利比亚的政治、经济和外交等政策不断进行调整,一度取得了令世人瞩目的成就。利比亚伊斯兰社会主义最终没有摆脱衰亡命运的原因是多方面的,主要包括执政理念过于理想化,独裁统治不得人心;经济改革措施脱离实际;执政基础日渐涣散;饱受争议的外交政策;颜色革命加速了卡扎菲的倒台。从利比亚伊斯兰社会主义的兴衰,反观中国式现代化建设所取得的巨大成就,充分证明了中国共产党为什么能、马克思主义为什么行、中国特色社会主义为什么好。

After Libya’s“September Revolution”in 1969,Gaddafi led Libya to realize the transformation from Monarchy to Republic.Qaddafi’s Islamic Socialism theory has gone through the process from the initial imitation of Nasser’s Arab socialism,persisting in Islamic socialism,establishing the Third World Theory,and announcing the People’s Era.With the change of international and domestic situation,Qaddafi,guided by the Islamic socialist ideology,constantly adjusted Libya’s political,economic and foreign policies,and once made remarkable achievements.There are many reasons why Libyan Islamic Socialism did not get rid of the fate of decline.It mainly includes that the governing concept was too idealistic,autocracy was unpopular;economic reform measures was divorced from reality;the foundation of governance was increasingly lax;controversial foreign policy;the color revolution accelerated the downfall of Gaddafi.From the rise and fall of Islamic socialism in Libya,on the great achievements of Chinese style modernization,it has fully demonstrated why the CPC is capable,why Marxism works,and why socialism with Chinese characteristics is good.
