Fish is a food image that repeatedly appears in Su Shi’s poems.It has an amazing variety,rich connotations and diverse forms.It runs through all aspects of social life,is compared with the relationship between monarch and minister or the barbarous history,or is mentioned in the topics of diet and health or the beauty of natural ecology.Su Shi can actively absorb the essence of Chinese fish culture,and skillfully use the fish image to give artistic expression of his understanding of the roller coaster political life.The fish image in Su Shi’s poems has the connotation of Confucianism,and also has the thoughts of the study of Zhuangzi.
