语气词选择问句以语气词连接选择项,是部分方言里特有的选择问类型。以双项选择问为例。语气词选择问句由前选择项、语气词、后选择项三部分构成。其中,语气词位于前选择项末尾,具有表达疑问语气和连接选择项的双重性质;前后选择项末尾可分别添加非连接功能的语气词表达特定的语气意义或时体意义。在特定构成要素和语义内涵下,语气词选择问句具有不同的变化形式。

Alternative questions with a modal particle is a special kind of alternative questions in some Chinese dialects, in which the alternative options are connected by a modal particle. The study mainly focuses on the questions with two alternative options. The question is composed of three elements: the former alternative option, a modal particle and the latter alternative option. The modal particle is attached to the end of the former option, which has dual functions of expressing an interrogative mood and connecting alternative options. The former and latter alternative options can be followed with non-connected functional modal particles respectively, expressing a certain tone or aspect. With specific components and connotation, alternative questions with a modal particle may take different forms.
