Motif is a concept with high command and integrative function,which points to the basic problems that human be⁃ings must think about in their survival and life.The core value demonstrated in the spiritual dimension of the composition writing in college entrance examination is consistent with the human value concept contained in the literary motif.In teaching Chinese writing in high schools,the application of motif thinking is conducive to the exploration and thinking of the writing topic;more⁃over,the application of motif thinking to accumulate materials and ideas for writing helps improve thinking ability and cultivate core literacy.
