Study on the impact of Knowledge Heterogeneity on Remixing Innovation in Open Collaborative Communities

从知识协同视角,探索用户知识异质性通过知识协同的中介作用对重混创新的影响机制,收集开放协作3D打印社区Thingiverse中用户及其所发布设计作品共25032条数据进行实证检验｡结果表明:显性知识异质性对重混创新的数量产生正向影响,却对其质量产生负向影响;隐性知识异质性同样正向影响重混创新的数量,但对重混创新质量无显著影响;知识冲突在知识异质性与重混创新间存在中介作用,而知识协作仅在显性知识异质性与重混创新质量间存在负向中介作用。

From the perspective of knowledge collaboration, this paper puts forward the influence mechanism of user knowledge heterogeneity on remixing innovation through the mediation of knowledge collaboration.It chooses 3D printing community Thingiverse as the research platform and use 25032 pieces of objective data from users and their published designs.Results show that explicit knowledge heterogeneity has a positive impact on the quantity of remixed innovation, but a negative impact on its quality.The tacit knowledge heterogeneity also positively affects the quantity of remix innovation, but has no significant effect on the quality of remix innovation.Knowledge conflict plays an intermediary role between knowledge heterogeneity and remix innovation, while knowledge collaboration only plays a negative intermediary role between explicit knowledge heterogeneity and remix innovation quality.
