少数民族文化融入英语读物的需求与路径研究——以连南县瑶族文化为例

摘要 “文化失语”是少数民族地区基础英语教育改革中的一个突出问题。为贯彻中国文化“走出去”的国家战略,提高少数民族学生用英语讲好中国故事的能力,以连南瑶族自治县师生为调查对象,基于问卷调查和半结构性访谈,围绕瑶族文化英语读物在该地区的需求进行分析,并从内容选择、编排方式等方面提出瑶族文化英语读物编制路径与建议。研究发现,当地师生认为民族文化英语读物非常重要,对以瑶族优秀传统文化为文本内容的英语读物需求度高,期望读物以手绘图片、文本音频、动画视频链接等多模态符号形式呈现。 Cultural aphasia of ethnic minorities is a prominent problem in the reform of basic English education in ethnic minority areas.In order to implement the national strategy of“going out”of the Chinese culture and improve the ability of minority students to tell Chinese stories in English,this study took teachers and students in Liannan Yao Autonomous County as the research objects,and conducted a questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews about the demand for English reading materials on Yao culture in this region,and proposed suggestions for compiling English reading materials on Yao culture in terms of their content and organization of the materials.The result indicates that local teachers and students find it necessary to compile English reading materials on Yao culture,results indicate and show a high demand for the reading materials presented with a multimodal symbol system of hand-painted images,text-based audios,video links,etc.
