摘要
作为一所世界知名公立研究型大学,美国威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校是全球最早推行预聘长聘教职制度的高校之一。在关注教师成长需要、服务教师自主发展理念的指引下,该校逐渐形成了校院系相互协调的预聘制教师发展支持服务体系。该体系致力于为预聘制教师提供精细化过程指导,具有以系为主、追踪教师动态发展和兼顾不同教师群体需要的特点。借鉴美国研究型大学促进预聘制教师发展的经验,构建与预聘制教师发展需要相契合的支持服务体系,对健全我国高校教师管理制度、建立完善教师发展支持服务体系具有重要意义。
The University of Wisconsin-Madison is not only a world-class public research university but also one of the universities which implemented tenure-track system at the earliest in the world.Guided by the principle of attaching importance to faculty’s professional development needs and serving their independent development,UW-Madison has gradually formed a support and service system for tenure-track faculty coordinated by the university,school,and department levels.This support and service system provides a comprehensive and refined guidance for tenure-track faculty development,which embodies the characteristics of taking departments as a core unit,tracking the progress of faculty,and considering faculty’s needs.Learning from the experiences of American research universities,Chinese universities should gradually build a support and service system for tenure-track faculty that conforms to their development,which is of great significance to improve faculty management system,and to establish and perfect a support/service system for tenure-track faculty development in Chinese universities.
