摘要
物质的概念具有多维度的阐释。作为人类劳动的物和作为具有指称意义的物,通常是考察物的两种不同路径,由此也产生了交叉学科的多种研究方法和跨学科的研究视角。物本身就是意义依附的物质场所,物的消费过程是一个确立身份地位和文化差异的过程,是构建自我同一性的过程,物通过叙事和表演而获得其文化功效。“物质即文化”的学术研究有着深层次的运行逻辑,即结构性、增殖性和活态性。把物作为文化来研究,是对人性和人类命运的一种关切。
There exists a multidimensional perspective to interpret the concept of the term material.As a rule,objects as products of human labor and objects as symbols are two theoretical approaches to studying material as culture,bringing about interdisciplinary methods and cross-disciplinary focus.Objects themselves can offer a material site for attachment of meaning.The consumption process of objects is a process of establishing social status and cultural differences,and a process of constructing self-identity.Another,objects acquire their cultural efficacy through its narratives and performances within social contexts.Academic research on material as culture has its intrinsic logics,namely,the logic of being structural,proliferative and lived.In the final analysis,the study of material as culture reveals a deep concern for human nature and human destiny.
