The mega kilowatt ultra supercritical coal-fired boiler has a large furnace and a heavy task of anti-wear and explosion-proof treatment of water wall. This paper introduces the structural characteristics of water wall of ultra supercritical once through boiler, analyzes the causes of typical defects in combination with the actual operation and maintenance of water wall of boiler, and puts forward special plans from the aspects of maintenance process management, maintenance process implementation, operation control adjustment, etc., aiming to improve the maintenance quality of water wall and ensure the safe and stable operation of boiler.
