The Three Logic of the Overall Strategy of the CPC to Solve the Taiwan Question in the New Era

党的二十大报告围绕坚持和完善“一国两制”、推进祖国统一进行系统部署,为新时代党解决台湾问题提供了行动纲领。从历史逻辑看,解决台湾问题、实现祖国完全统一,对于彻底终结海峡两岸长期政治对立、妥当应对台海局势出现的新动向新特点,以及推动实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦均具有战略意义。从理论逻辑看,坚持“和平统一、一国两制”基本方针、继续深化两岸各领域融合发展、采取非和平方式及其他必要措施环环紧扣,共同构成新时代党解决台湾问题的总体方略。从实践逻辑看,坚持贯彻新时代党解决台湾问题的总体方略,要坚决维护党中央对台工作集中统一领导,坚持系统观念全局谋划对台工作,坚持寄希望于台湾人民的方针。

The report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC) made a systematic deployment around adhering to and improving “One Country, Two Systems” and promoting the reunification of the motherland, providing a platform for action for the Party to solve the Taiwan question in the new era. From the perspective of historical logic, solving the Taiwan question and realizing the complete reunification of the motherland are of strategic significance for completely ending the long-term political confrontation between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits, properly responding to the new trends and new features of the situation in the Taiwan Straits, and promoting the realization of the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. From the perspective of theoretical logic, adhering to the basic principles of “Peaceful Reunification and One Country, Two Systems”, continuing to deepen the integration and development of the two sides of the Taiwan Straits in various fields, adopting non peaceful ways and other necessary measures, are closely linked and together constitute the Party’s overall strategy for solving the Taiwan question in the new era. In terms of practical logic, to implement the overall strategy of the CPC to solve the Taiwan question in the new era, we must firmly uphold the centralized and unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee on Taiwan, adopt a systematic approach and make overall plans for Taiwan affairs, and continue to place our hopes on people of Taiwan.
