In the era of globalization and informatization,Brazil regards training skilled talents as an important task of the country.Undoubtedly, high school education plays a key role in the process of cultivating skilled talents. However,at present, the challenges of high school education in Brazil, such as low academic level of students, disconnection between school education and labor market demand, large number of unattractive compulsory courses are harmful of the cultivation of skilled talents. To this end,the Brazilian interim government gradually implemented a comprehensive"New high school"reform in 2016,focusing on training talents with 21st century skills, including the implementation of new curriculum reform, new education evaluation system and general-vocational integration education. The reform of New high school in Brazil reflects the distinctive features of focusing on cultivating students’core competence in the 21st century, creating a flexible and diversified curriculum system, paying attention to the development of students’vocational skills, and organizing"interdisciplinary"and"big unit"teaching.
