基于语料库的“铸牢中华民族共同体意识”英译的传播与接受研究

A Corpus-based Study of the Dissemination and Reception of“Creating a Strong Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation”

以自建的英国、美国、印度主流新闻媒体关于“铸牢中华民族共同体意识”的新闻报道语料库为语料,依据语料库方法与批评话语分析理论,分析该术语在英美印主流新闻媒体中的传播与接受情况。研究发现,英美印主流媒体的新闻报道对其存在多种译法,其中英美两国使用频次最高的英译名是“forge a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation”,印度主流新闻媒体使用频次最高的是“consolidate the sense of community for the Chinese nation”,均与我国媒体所使用的英译名不尽相同。英美印主流新闻媒体总体上均对该术语持有中立态度,对其内涵有着正确的理解,但也存在着不同程度的误解,这主要是由于我国与英美印三国在历史发展、经济基础及政治制度方面存在着巨大差异。此外,这种误解会有损我国的国际形象,同时也不利于该术语的传播。

This study uses the self-built news report corpus to study the dissemination and reception of the term“create a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation”in the mainstream media of British,American and Indian.It found that there are various translations of it,and the three countries hold a neutral attitude toward it,but there are some misunderstandings,which isn’t conducive to the dissemination of the term.
