Swedish director Roy Andersson,who's films known for painterly compositions and deep focal full shots,as well as aesthetic color,won the Award of Cannes Film Festival and the Silver Lion Award for Best Director of Venice Film Festival.This paper focus on the"The Living Trilogy"that embodies Roy Andersson's film aesthetics and"About Endlessness"that follows the style of the trilogy,and uses film color science as the main theoretical tool to explore how Roy Anderson's films use color to shape characters,depict space,convey absurdity and existential thinking.
