河南汝州乡镇地名语言文化探究

Linguistic and Cultural Characteristics of Town Names in Ruzhou

地名是人们对地理实体赋予的专有名称,是历史和社会的产物,是实用性很强的一种历史文化形态。地名研究可补充证实历史学家和考古学家的看法。联合国地名标准化会议认定地名为非物质文化遗产,强调地名文化保护的重要性。河南汝州历史悠久,中原文化底蕴深厚。文章对汝州乡镇地名的语言特点、通名专名结构以及地名所包含的文化进行探究,以期发现汝州地名命名的规律,同时对汝州地名的文化保护、规范化和俗名雅化等问题进行深入思考。

Place name is a name given by people to geographical entities. It is the product of history and society. It is a kind of historical and cultural form with strong practicability. The study of place names complements the views of historians and archaeologists. The United Nations Conference on Standardization of Geographical Names recognized geographical names as intangible cultural heritage and emphasized the importance of cultural protection of geographical names. This paper explores the linguistic features, the structure of common and proper names and the culture contained in the names of towns in Ruzhou, Henan province, in order to find out the features of place names in Ruzhou. It makes an in-depth reflection on the cultural protection, standardization and refinement of common names of Ruzhou town names.
