上川岛,历史上是一个远离大陆、偏安一隅的天涯荒岛,被视为化外之地。随着明清时期国家权力的渗透和扩张,有关上川岛及其周边海域的文献记载也逐渐增多。这些历史文献为人们描绘出了一幅从“盗寇之区”到“贸易之岛”的“上川印象”。其既反映出了王朝国家的统治权力逐渐向海岛边疆的渗透与扩张,又折射出早期中葡贸易的困境与变通之法。

Shangchuan Island was historically a remote island,far away from the mainland and beyond civilization.With the penetration and expansion of the ruling power of the Ming and Qing dynasties,the literature records about Shangchuan island and its surrounding waters gradually increased.These historical documents depict a "Shangchuan impression" from "an area of piracy " to "an island of trade".They not only reflect the infiltration and expansion of the ruling power of the dynasties to the island border,but also the predicament and flexibility of the early Sino-Portuguese trade.
