回顾了20世纪50年代至今广州市的城市建设发展历程,广州市设计院自成立以来便一路见证广州城建和岭南建筑的发展。从城市发展和传承岭南建筑基因的视角,以时间为轴线阐述了各段历史背景下重要建筑的创作过程,同时总结了设计院70年来依托城市发展,在岭南建筑领域的传承和创新创作的历程,并在此基础上思考和展望未来的实践方向。

This article reviews the development of urban construction in Guangzhou from the 1950s to the present day and illustrates that Lingnan architecture has been under going constant upgrades driven by urban development.During the same period,Guangzhou Design Institute,since its establishment,has witnessed the development of urban construction and Lingnan architecture,its development has been bound up with the development of modern Lingnan architecture.This article describes how major buildings were created in various historical contexts based on the time axis,the perspective of urban development and the inheritance of Lingnan architecture’"genes".In the 1950s,the first group of pioneering Lingnan architects made innovative attempts,setting the tone for Lingnan architecture in Guangzhou.In the 1960s and 1970s,as Guangzhou embraced openness and cultural integration,high-quality reception and exhibition buildings emerged,the elements of Lingnan traditional gardens are integrated into modern architecture,creating a unique and novel type of Lingnan architectural space.In the 1980s,Guangzhou took the Sixth National Games as an opportunity to build Tianhe Sports Center complex featuring Lingnan regional characteristics,show casing the diversified development of Lingnan architecture.In the 1990s,with the development of economic reform and open up,Guangzhou’s urban planning and construction went through great changes:The completion of Zhujiang New Town demonstrated Guangzhou’s strength and ambition as an international metropolis;A large number of public buildings and office buildings infused with Lingnan"genes"sprung up,which opened up a new era for the integration of Lingnan architecture and modern technology.In the 21st century,Guangzhou began to pay more emphasis on people’s well being,education and sports,and began to build its university town and host Asian Games.Meanwhile,the city started to create multiple public cultural buildings,catapulting the creation of Lingnan architecture into a new development stage,so as to enhance overall culture spirit and connotation of the city.This article also introduces the inheritance and innovative creation of Guangzhou Design Institute in the field of Lingnan architecture over the past 70 years of urban development.It aims to summarize and accumulate creative experience,encouraging architects to press ahead and unleash their enthusiasm.Since its establishment,Guangzhou Design Institute has taken up the important task of exploring where architectural design in Guangzhou and Lingnan region would head towards,and has actively engaged in the creative practice of Lingnan architecture in each historical stage of the city’s development.As one of the first Grade A survey and design institutes in China,Guangzhou Design Institute has been committed to inheriting and developing the creative practice and cultural essence of Lingnan architecture,undertaken various architectural design projects in Guangzhou,and created many excellent Lingnan architectural works.Over the past 70 years,those at Guangzhou Design Institute,with their dedication,innovation,inheritance and courage to make pioneering effortsand tirelessly pursue craftsmanship,have built up an innovative creation path through their arduous work,enriched the historical chapter of Lingnan architecture with their creative practice,and advanced the development of Lingnan architectural creation.All of achievements made today are also attributed to our solid technical prowess,professional talent teams,creative philosophy to relentlessly pursue innovation and creative vision to proactively promote the culture of Lingnan architecture.This article concludes with reflections and outlooks on the future practice direction based on the above-mentioned content,and with an expectation that Guangzhou Design Institute will create more excellent architectural works and make greater contributions to urban development.
