Theoretical Contribution of Xi Jinping’s Important Discourse on Ideological and Political Work in Universities

党的十八大以来,习近平总书记高度重视高校思想政治工作,聚焦关键核心问题,在五个方面实现了马克思主义理论发展的重大创新:从发展方向的角度,明确了高校思想政治工作的社会主义方向,创造性提出了“大学底色”的命题,全面而深刻地回答了为什么坚持“四为”服务的问题;从战略全局的高度,明确了高校思想政治工作的突出地位;从认识论的角度,在深入回答“培养什么人”的基础上,创造性回答了“怎样培养人”“为谁培养人”的问题;从价值论的角度,突破和升华了高校思政工作的价值追求;从领导力量的角度,加强“两个坚强阵地”建设牢固确立了党在高校思想政治工作中的领导权。这五方面相辅相成,共同构成了一个完整的科学体系,为新时代做好高校思想政治工作提供了根本遵循和行动指南。

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has attached great importance to ideological and political work in universities, focusing on core issues and achieving major innovations in the development of Marxist theory in five aspects. From the perspective of development direction, the socialist direction of ideological and political work in universities is clarified, the proposition of “university background” is creatively put forward, and the question of why we insist on serving “four purposes” is answered comprehensively and profoundly. From the height of the overall strategic situation, the prominent position of ideological and political work in universities is made clear. From the perspective of epistemology,the questions of “how to cultivate people” and “for whom to cultivate people” are creatively answered on the basis of in-depth answers to “who to cultivate”. From the angle of axiology, it breaks through and sublimates the value pursuit of ideological and political work in universities. From the perspective of leading force, strengthening the construction of “two strong positions” firmly establishes the party’s leadership in ideological and political work in universities. These five aspects complement each other and constitute a complete scientific system, which provides a fundamental principle and action guide for ideological and political work in universities in the new era.
