基因编辑技术的社会风险问题再探——以“设计婴儿”事件为例

Re-exploration on the Social Risks of Gene-editing Technology: Taking "Designer Baby" as an Example

在“设计婴儿”中,基因编辑技术的应用会因为发生技术异化而对社会造成各种风险,包括基因编辑技术对社会带来的不确定性后果、对社会心理和社会伦理的冲击、对社会平等的破坏、对社会秩序的干扰等。鉴于此,应该从明确技术的终极价值、倡导社会公众积极参与技术决策、警惕资本与技术的畸形结合等方面去规避基因编辑技术导致的社会风险,以协调当代高新技术应用与人类社会发展的关系。

In the case of "designer baby", the application of gene editing technology poses various risks to society due to technological alienation, including the uncertain consequences to society, the impact on social psychology and social ethics, the destruction of social equality, and the disturbance of social order. Accordingly, the social risks caused by gene editing technology should be avoided by clarifying the ultimate value of technology, advocating the public’s active participation in technological decision-making, and being wary of the perverse combination of capital and technology, so as to harmonize the relationship between contemporary high-tech applications and human social development.
