Discussion on the principle of Radix puerariae in Bentun Formula based on quaternity

奔豚汤是《金匮要略》中治疗肝气奔豚的代表方剂,所纳诸药中葛根的争议颇多。史上诸多医家认为葛根与黄芩配伍清肝泻火,却忽略了葛根的其他功用对奔豚汤的影响。文章旨在经方方证分类研究的过程中,从“性、位、势、证”四要素出发,对奔豚汤进行总结分析,再在奔豚汤四位一体研究的基础上,重点分析其中葛根在奔豚汤中的作用原理及特殊意义。

Bentun Formula is a representative prescription for treating liver qi Bentu in Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber.However,there are many disputes about Radix puerariae.In history,many doctors believed that the combination of Radix pueraria and Radix scutellariae could clear the liver and reduce the fire,but ignored the influence of other functions of Radix pueraria on the soup.This paper aims to summarize and analyze the Bentun Formula from the four elements of ‘property,position,tendency and syndrome'in the process of classification of classical prescriptions and syndromes,and then on the basis of the study of quaternity of Bentun Formula,focus on the analysis of Radix pueraria,and study its principle of action and special significance in BentunFormula.
