Professor Yao Naili’s Treatment for Chronic Ulcerative Colitis from “Toxin Damaging Intestinal Collaterals”

姚乃礼主任医师根据多年临床经验,认为慢性溃疡性结肠炎发生离不开“毒”,以脾胃虚弱为本,毒邪内蕴为因,络脉受邪为病理变化,呈脾虚毒损络阻之象,同时患者多伴有肝脾不调证候。辨治时重视肠镜表现,当以宏观与微观、辨病和辨证结合,且附典型案例予以说明。

Based on years of clinical experience, professor Yao Naili thinks that the cause of chronic ulcerative colitis(UC) contains "toxin", the weakness of spleen and stomach deficiency is the root cause, internal accumulation of toxin is the cause, and evil attacking collateral is the pathological change, presenting the manifestations of spleen deficiency and toxin damaging the collaterals and stagnation, meanwhile, the patients show the pattern of the disharmony between liver and spleen. We should pay attention to colonoscopy in syndrome differentiation and treatment, combine macro with micro, disease differentiation with syndrome differentiation,and attach typical cases to illustrate the change.
