阴茎是男性特有的外生殖器之一,兼具排尿与完成性交的双重功能,主要由两根负责勃起的阴茎海绵体和一根包裹尿道的尿道海绵体组成。在青春期,阴茎在下丘脑-垂体-性腺轴的作用下会逐渐发育至成人水平。由遗传因素、发育不良、外伤等原因导致的先天性阴茎畸形和阴茎短小,会严重损害患者的身心健康。在保守治疗无果的情况下,可以考虑进行阴茎增粗和(或)延长的手术治疗。阴茎增粗延长手术是一类用于治疗各种原因导致患者阴茎短小的生殖器整形手术,它不仅能改善患者的生理功能,还可以改善患者的心理状态。常见的手术方式包括阴茎填充术、悬韧带松解术、滑动延长术和阴茎拆解术,以及基于其的改良方案。虽然阴茎可以通过手术的方式进行增粗和延长,但很多阴茎大小在正常水准的患者仍会自觉阴茎短小,从而要求进行手术治疗。对于是否应该允许这类患者进行阴茎增粗延长手术,目前仍是个值得争议的话题。

The penis is one of the unique external genitalia of the male, which has the dual functions of urination and intercourse, mainly consisting of two penile corpus cavernosum responsible for erection and one urethral corpus cavernosum that wraps around the urethra. During adolescence, the penis gradually develops to the adult level under the action of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. Congenital penile malformation and short penis caused by genetic factors, stunted growth, trauma and other reasons can seriously damage the physical and mental health of patients. In cases where conservative treatment is fruitless, surgical treatment of penis augmentation and/or elongation can be considered. Penile augmentation and elongation surgery is a type of genital plastic surgery for treating patients with various causes of small penis, which not only improves the physical function of the patients, but also promotes their psychological health. Common surgical procedures include penile augmentation, suspensory ligament release, sliding elongation and penile disassembly, as well as modified options based on them. Although the penis can be surgically augmented and lengthened, many patients with normal-sized penises still feel small and thus request surgical treatment. It is still a debatable topic as to whether such patients should be allowed to undergo penile augmentation and elongation surgery.
