The Application of Classics Orientation of Marxist Historiography in the Period of the Republic of China

民国时期,中华民族危机继续加深,国难当头。中国马克思主义史学秉持马克思主义的实践品格,接续古代史学“经世致用”的优良传统,成为中华民族“救亡图存”的重要组成部分。首先,投身中国社会性质和社会史论战,通过历史研究为中国革命的目的、对象、性质问题寻求答案;其次,积极融入抗战,成为文化抗战的一支生力军;再次,致力于革命的宣传教育,批判和清算侵略史观等错误观点,激发了当时民众的民族自信心和自尊心,有力声援了抗战。在追求救亡图存和民族独立的时代背景下,马克思主义史学以整个民族的利益为中心关怀,为民族独立的实现和新中国的建立作出了重要贡献。这种“经世”价值具有重要历史意义,应以历史主义的态度,实事求是地给予认识和评价。

During the period of the Republic of China,the crisis of the Chinese nation continued to deepen,and the country was in trouble.Adhering to the practical character of Marxism,Chinese Marxist historiography continues the fine tradition of ancient historiography of the application of classics and has become an important part of the Chinese nation's salvation.First,it engaged in the debate on the nature of Chinese society and social history,seeking answers to the questions of the purpose,object and nature of the Chinese revolution through historical research.Second,it became a vital force in the anti-Japanese War with Anti-Japanese culture.Third,it devoted itself to revolutionary publicity and education,criticizing and liquidating such wrong views as the historical view of aggression,inspiring the national self-confidence and self-esteem at that time,and effectively supporting the anti-Japanese War.In the pursuit of salvation and national independence,Marxist historiography,with the interests of the entire nation as its central concern,made important contributions to the realization of national independence and the establishment of new China.This worldly value is of great historical significance,and should be recognized and evaluated in a realistic manner with a historicist attitude.
